Three-Day Wristbands

Three-day Gaming Expo Wristbands will be admitted to the Gaming Awards on Sunday, March 15 (8:00pm-9:30pm) subject to capacity and age restriction (18+ years of age).

Three-day Gaming Expo Wristband holders who want to attend the Gaming Awards must pick up their pre-purchased wristband at SXSW Registration (Austin Convention Center, Exhibit Hall 1) on Sunday, March 15 between 2:00pm and 8:00pm.

All other Gaming Expo Wristbands must be picked up at Palmer Events Center on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (March 19, 20, 21) during these times.

Single-Day Wristbands

You can also purchase single-day wristbands for $20 each while supplies last for the following days:

• Day One: Thursday, March 19, 2020
• Day Two: Friday, March 20, 2020
• Day Three: Saturday, March 21, 2020

Gaming Expo Wristbands must be picked up at Palmer Events Center on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (March 19, 20, 21) during these times.

The SXSW Gaming Expo takes place March 19-21, 2020 at the Palmer Events Center in Austin, Texas. The SXSW Gaming Expo draws in developers, manufacturers, celebrities, and attendees from all facets of the community. This is the epicenter of gaming culture at SXSW. The discount wristbands will only be sold over the internet, and will require a valid credit card. There will be no refunds or name transfers after purchase. You will be sent a confirmation email which will include instructions for picking up your wristband. You must bring a valid form of photo ID to redeem your wristband. Your wristband will be placed on your wrist at time of pick up.

SXSW badges give priority entry over wristbands. Wristbands cannot guarantee admission to every SXSW event. Event admission is subject to venue capacity and age restrictions in compliance with state and local laws. Review Wristband Rules below for further details.

Each individual will need to present a drivers license or valid government-issued photo ID to claim his or her SXSW Wristband. An individual may not pick up a wristband for someone else.

The wristband will be fastened on the individual’s wrist at time of pick up and may not be removed until the festival is over.

Gaming Wristbands can be picked up on the following dates and times at the The Palmer Events Center (900 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704):

This online system is being implemented to ensure that the majority of wristbands sold go to Austin’s music fans (rather than scalpers and resellers), and to save them the inconvenience of getting in line hours before they go on sale to be sure of getting one.

SXSW will not sell, distribute, or otherwise disclose any personal information obtained in the process of placing your order.

Purchase Requirements

1. You must provide a valid credit card with funds available to purchase the number of wristbands you request (up to 2).
2. The purchaser will provide their name, email, valid credit card number and expiration date and billing address.
3. A second wristband may be purchased by providing a separate name and email address. These wristbands are non-transferable and nonrefundable.
4. Each named person must personally pick up their wristband (which will be put on their wrist at that time) at the Austin Convention Center.

Disclaimers

1. Wristbands guarantee no cover charges. Admission subject to legal capacity. Many venues fill up. Badges get priority entry.
2. All SXSW Wristbands are non-transferable/non-refundable. No exceptions.
3. Tampering with the SXSW Wristband will invalidate the wristband. Stretching, tearing, taping or cutting of SXSW Wristbands is not permitted. If wristband tampering is evident, the wristband will be voided and the wearer will be refused entry to any/all SXSW venues.
4. When purchasing wristbands, the authorized purchaser must be one of the wristband recipients.
5. Authorized SXSW Wristband holders are not exempt from venue-specific age restrictions.
6. By purchasing a wristband, you consent to being placed on our SXSW email list for news, updates, promotional and other materials. You may update or change your email preferences and unsubscribe at the bottom of any email.
